Our Sourcing Model

Direct relationships. Full visibility at the source.

We source directly from pastoral communities across Kenya’s traditional livestock regions. Our network is anchored in Northern Kenya — the founding region of our business — and continues to expand across the country.

Every supply community is personally assessed and onboarded by our team. We operate through direct relationships with farming families and community groups, ensuring transparency, consistency, and alignment with our standards.

This model allows us to maintain full visibility at the source and deliver a reliable, traceable supply chain from origin.

Our Commitment to Suppliers

Fair pricing. Consistent demand. Direct relationships.

01
Fair pricing

We pay fair market value directly to the communities and farmers we source from. Our model eliminates unnecessary intermediaries, ensuring that value flows transparently to the source.

02
Consistent demand

We operate on agreed purchase schedules so farming communities can plan ahead. Unpredictable demand is one of the most significant challenges in pastoral livelihoods. We address that directly.

03
Direct relationships

We build long-term relationships with the farming families and community groups who raise our animals. Every community in our network is personally visited and onboarded by our team.

Supply Partnership

What we look for in a supply partner.

We are actively growing our supply network across Kenya. These are the five criteria we assess when onboarding new pastoral communities.

01
Pastoral or free-range rearing

Naturally grazed animals on rangeland pasture. We do not source from intensive feedlot operations.

02
Goat, sheep or camel

All three species considered. Individual farmers and community groups both welcome. Contact us to discuss minimum volumes.

03
Accessible location

We visit every community before establishing a supply relationship. Include your county and nearest town when contacting us.

04
Commitment to quality standards

We provide training throughout onboarding. No prior export experience required — we manage all documentation and certification.

05
Long-term supply commitment

We are looking for enduring partnerships, not one-off transactions. Communities that supply consistently are prioritised in our network.

No prior export experience needed. We handle the full certification, documentation, and logistics process. Your role is to supply quality animals — we manage everything from there.
